When Your Toddler Steals Your Phone…

I recently had a business trip and received the craziest text from my husband. Here it is:

I read this after leaving my last meeting for the day, so I was exhausted and totally confused. This was actually sent by my 2.5-year-old daughter, which makes perfect sense.

Often times my daughter will grab hold of our phones and leave us puzzled. While it sometimes drives me crazy—like the time she kept calling my sister and hanging up—it actually makes me laugh more often than not. Here are the hilarious things that happen when your toddler steals your phone.

Crazy google searches. I went to do a Google search on my phone and when I pulled up the screen it was on a google search results page for “Put the lime in the coconut lyrics.” I did not search for this, so I’m pretty sure it was my daughter.

Confusing photos. Ever go swiping through your photos and see phantom photos of toddler fingers, the floor, ceiling, your butt? Yeah, totally a toddler’s doing.

Phantom purchases. I’ve learned the hard way not to keep an open shopping cart on my phone. I once received a delivery for something twice because I ordered it once and so did my toddler. She’s already credit card happy.

Nonsensical Texts. Like the one above, I’ve sent texts to random people with random garble. Mostly funny but I’ve definitely had some not funny moments.

My husband recently put a passcode lock on his phone. I should probably do that, too.

Have your children ever gotten in to trouble when stealing your phone?
