To the Moms…

To the Grandmas,

Step-moms,

Fur-moms,

The moms who so desperately want to be moms with no avail, you are still a mom at heart.

To the Aunts who step in as moms,

Best friends who treat other’s kids as their own,

To the moms who slept on the floor next to your child’s bed all night just to help your child sleep,

To the moms who have endured unimaginable loss,

The moms who don’t know how they will get their next meal on the table,

To the dads who have stepped in as the role of mom,

The moms who have stared at that negative pregnancy test month after month, praying for a miracle,

To the moms who have carried their child surfboard-style out of Target to avoid a tantrum,

The moms who are afraid to ask for help,

To the moms who have loads of helping hands and to those who don’t have any.

To the moms who spend night after night in the NICU, hoping to take their baby home.

The moms who have it all together, and those whose life is unraveling rapidly.

To the moms who desperately need a night out, and to those who desperately need a night in with their kids.

The moms who stay home, catering to every little need and desire, wishing for a break.

And to the moms who work all day to come home to their second, and most important job, of being a mom.

To the moms who have a sick child and cannot bear the thought of lifting your head off the pillow in the morning,

To the new moms who are currently holding their first baby for the first time in the hospital,

To the older moms who are sending their kids off to college, wondering where the time went.

To the moms who kissed a boo boo today, and to the moms who helped mend a broken teenage heart.

To the Pinterest moms and the soccer moms,

And the moms who just hope they can get out of the house with their children clothed…

To the single moms!….Oh, to the single moms.

To the moms who keep it real.

To the moms of adopted children, foster children, biological children.

The moms who are in their 40’s, hoping their chance of being a mom hasn’t passed.

Teachers who act as moms all day long.

To the moms who carry their babies in their hearts.

The moms who are utterly exhausted, but whose hearts are completely full.

And to my mom…I wouldn’t be half the mom I am today, if it weren’t for you. I love you!

I see you. You’re doing the best you can. You are AMAZING. Happy Mother’s Day!
