Fairfield County Theaters

Audience members clapping in a theater. You don’t have to go to New York to catch great family theatre, as Connecticut is home to some of the best local and regional theatres. If it’s your child’s first trip, it may be more appealing to keep it closer to home when shelling out money for theatre tickets. From musicals to dance to children’s theatre, comedy, and dramas, Fairfield County is known for having some of the best theatre venues in the state.

Historically, many esteemed New York actors used to come to perform summer stock in towns like Westport, Fairfield, and Ridgefield during the summer months to work during the off-season. Check out one of the current seasons from the below round-up of quality performance venues. Enjoy!
