Rain, Rain Go Away: Where We’re Going This Spring

0

With Spring right around the corner, I think it’s safe to say all of the snow we have now is going to make for one muddy season! Just getting to our car (our driveway isn’t paved), could be an issue when all of the white stuff melts. I, for one, am not up for cleaning constant mud messes on my floors, so my daughter and I will be spending a lot of time at our favorite local kid-friendly places. Here are 5 of the places you’ll likely be finding us until the ground is solid again.PicMonkey_Collage_3

  1. Tot Town: We LOVE this place. Imagine all of your kid’s favorite things (slides, climbers, dress-up clothes, trains, dolls, etc.) in one giant room where your kid can freely run around and play. It seems like every time we planned on going there this winter, it snowed, so I’m hoping we get to spend more time there this season.
  2. The Children’s Movement Center: There are two rooms of play – one geared toward the smaller kids and one for the older ones with more advanced developmental abilities. The first room has a ball pit, plastic slides, trampolines and playhouses. It also has a gigantic floor to ceiling set of tubes/nets/slides to climb through, a large climbing inflatable, and swings. The other side (we haven’t graduated to it yet) has a climbing wall, surfing machine and zip line, among other things.
  3. Jack’s Clubhouse:  Jack’s is relatively new (it just opened in October 2014), and is still filling it’s space with things to do, but it’s certainly worth a few hours of exhausting out my daughter. There is a sand box area, an art space, a climbing/slide and a very cool interactive floor i-Pad like computer screen that kids can run and jump on as the games change.
  4. Sky Zone: This trampoline park is a new place for us. We’ve only been there once, and I admit it’s probably a bit too advanced for my 2 year old, but it wore her out and she did seem to have a good time during their toddler time.  With open trampoline areas (they must stay in their own square), a trampoline to foam block pit, and a trampoline basketball area, an hour went by quickly and made for an excellent nap! I don’t recommend this place for the under 5s during open play, though.
  5. Danbury Fair Mall: Who doesn’t love a carousel ride? Enough said.

Where are your favorite indoor hangouts?
