Playing Around Fairfield County 2019 {a summer play date series announcement}

Summer is officially here and that means it’s time to start soaking up that summer fun! The kiddos are home from school, it’s super hot outside, and the days are so much longer. That’s why Fairfield County Moms Blog wants to help you keep your family happy and entertained this summer. We have planned an exciting 2019 summer play date series that will give you the opportunity to play around Fairfield County.

Throughout the summer we will host new and unique play dates with a variety of activities for a range of ages around Fairfield County for as little as $7 per child. There is no cost for adults to attend, just one ticket per child which covers the activity and a snack! Tickets are limited and quantities will vary depending on the location. So mark your calendars and come play your way through summer with Fairfield County Moms Blog!

Sunday, July 14th

Ages: 5-14

Join us at Board & Brush Norwalk for a children’s DIY workshop. Each child will select a wood project from the available options in their gallery. They provide all the materials and instruct you step-by-step to create a beautiful piece for your home or for a gift. Children will choose from a variety of paint colors and glitter in the workshop. Snacks and drinks will be served, and one lucky child will win a free workshop! Once you purchase a ticket online, a link will be emailed to you in order to select your DIY project.

Ages: 3-5, 6-9

Come dance with us at Rockwell Dance Center in Trumbull! They will be hosting two fun dance classes that will introduce your young dancer to all the benefits and joys of beginner ballet and jazz. Dancers ages 3-5 will meet with Miss Julia from 4-5 p.m. and dancers ages 6-9 from 5-6 p.m. There will be 2 raffle prizes for each class (a RDC Leotard and a $50 Gift Certificate). Parents will get a tour of the 13,000 square feet of studio space and enjoy refreshments while your dancer is in class!

This morning play date will be fun for the whole family! We will play on the beautiful grounds of The Goddard School and make a craft with The Goddard School teachers. Bring the Hoopla will be there to bring the fun back to fitness. They will run three 30 minute sessions broken into age groups. And to make it even more fun, Party Time with Music Mike will also be there playing all the greatest hits for kids. Children will interact with several instruments and be encouraged to sing and dance along. Coffee and bagels will be provided by J Bagels.

Saturday, August 3rd

Ages: 2-8

Come have fun at Ole Soccer; an indoor climate controlled facility. We will play for 45 minutes on the field, where one of their great coaches will entertain your children. After soccer, we will take the children to their indoor Jungle Gym where they can play for another 45 minutes. The play date will conclude with pizza, water, and juice for the kids!

In this afternoon play date at the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA Family Outdoor Center, children and their families, will have the chance to have a wonderful day outdoors at the Y, make arts & crafts, paddle boat on the pond, play some mini golf, try a fun scavenger hunt, hike through the woods and compete in a gaga game. One lucky attendee will win one week at Camp Tepee (age range 3-14) and one Family Membership to the Family Outdoor Center for the five week flex option. Good from July 21 – September 2. An on-site snack bar is available to purchase treats. After the event, families can stay as Y guests. They invite you to enjoy their Y Family Outdoor Center, relax by the pool and take a swim.
