Her quest continues to find the best sushi in Fairfield County.

Maria S.

Maria (2)

Contributor

Maria is a full time mom/teacher/wife/daughter who feels pulled in too many directions! Her older son Michael took over 24 hours to be born, and at 6 months old was diagnosed with allergies to dairy, eggs, soy, shrimp and wheat… all after exclusively nursing because she was SO SURE that would help him be a healthy kid. Luckily at age 1, he began to outgrow some of his allergies. Fingers crossed the others will soon follow because that plus a husband who doesn’t eat any veggies and Maria always battling her weight makes for 3 meals to prepare every night. Luckily Christopher, her younger son is a cooperative eater…so far! Unfortunately sleeping, however, is minimal with a baby these days. No wonder she’s so dang tired! It’s a good thing she loves to cook and doesn’t require more than 7 hours of sleep since she often gets far fewer than that. She is addicted to Scandal, Nashville, How to Get Away with Murder, most cooking shows and Jane the Virgin. Most nights she’s content to surf Pinterest and pin way too many crafty pins she will never do.

Currently wrangling a 5yr old, 3yr old, and 1yr old in New Canaan, Erika does her best to stay sane playing at the park, running with the stroller, looking for more caffeine, browsing at the wine store, and leaning on fellow Mommy friends. She and her husband live in Norwalk with their daughter, Abbie (born 2012), and son, Charlie (born 2014). Maria F. loves exploring all that Fairfield County has to offer, and as a native New Yorker, she will continue her search for a true good slice of pizza.

Nikki

DSC_0259-Edit

Contributor

Nikki has called wonderful Fairfield County her home, her entire life. Growing up on a campus of a private school in Greenwich, CT Nikki swore to her educator parents that she would never be a teacher. Well life has a way of repeating itself and now Nikki and her amazingly supportive husband are happily working at a different independent school in Greenwich. A recovering “type a” perfectionist she is learning to let go of her color coding, alphabetizing ways and embrace the mess. Helping her enjoy life’s everyday messes are her two precocious girls Sofie (11/15/11) and Keira (9/7/13). Nikki loves all things mommy cliché including but not limited to walks on the beach, running, reality TV, organizing closets, wine, chocolate and having her kids help her out in the kitchen.

Kate M.

Contributor

Kate is a working mom who is constantly trying to balance the chaos of a full time advertising career with caring for 2 toddlers. She is a New York transplant who’s fallen in love with the CT shoreline she now calls home. Kate lives by the beach in Fairfield with her husband and boy/girl twins. When not working or chasing her kids you can find Kate sweating it out at a Bar Method Class or watching reality TV with wine in hand! Having it all may be a myth but Kate is trying her damnedest to live a balanced life. She hopes you can relate as you follow along on her crazy journey through motherhood!
