I love blogs. Chances are, if you’re reading this, then you do, too! I guess it’s no surprise that I ended up with FC Moms Blog and part of a national blog network. Not only do I love sharing my thoughts and things I love, I love learning about experiences that bloggers share, which may or may not be similar to my own. I love learning about new places and restaurants to try and products other bloggers love. But seriously, I love blogs, can’t you tell? I love all creativity and can appreciate the hard work that goes into a blog. In order to help connect you to some of my favorites, I’ve rounded up a list of 20 local bloggers (in Fairfield County and Connecticut at large) for your enjoyment. So, without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to some of my favorite local bloggers and the sites they’ve built.
These hyper-local blogs aim to get moms info about happenings in their respective towns (I also love their “Meet a Mom” feature). They also feature some fantastic giveaways!
Stamford-based blogger, Lindsay, is the mama behind this beautifully-styled site. Her lifestyle blog is the perfect escape to the Vineyard, without actually going. And you’ll love the adorable pics she posts of her sweet, sweet daughter – guaranteed!
Chrissy, mom to three boys, offers all kinds of parenting tips and advice. Her background in education lends a hand to her expertise. Strong Tots is a great resource for moms looking to learn more about all types of mom, child, and family centered topics.
This blog is written by my new-found friend, Stef. Creative and motivating, Stef’s site will help you organize any area of your home. Want to make 14 slow-cooker freezer meals in 90 minutes? Want to organize all of the those baby product manuals randomly stuffed in your filing cabinet? Stef has got you covered! The cute pics of her sweet baby boy all over her Instagram aren’t too shabby, either.
LuCk is the work of one of our own, our fabulous Ally! And I sure do love their motto – “Bringing moms together, one playdate at a time.” If you’re looking for something to do, LuCk’s got you covered. From day trips to local CT sites and attractions to learning how to host you own pie-baking or painting party, LuCk will help bring out your creative and adventurous side while helping you get out there and meet other moms.
How do I describe how much I love Julia Dzafic, the brains behind Lemon Stripes? I’m not sure there are words. I am also mildly obsessed with her weekly Q & A on Snapchat (Seriously, Julia, if you’re reading this – call me!). Her beautifully styled and inspiring blog focuses on all facets of life – food, decor, fashion, etc. She’s also been open on her blog about her infertility struggles. If you’re looking for your daily dose of pretty, head over to Lemon Stripes.
Westporter Eva Amurri Martino is the mama behind Happily Eva After, a lifestyle and motherhood blog. If her pics of her gorgeous house don’t get you, her beautiful children will! Her Snapchat is filled with scenes of her and her family in very local, recognizable places. Eva, if you’re reading this – my mom is Honey to my kids, too! #teamhoney
Stamford-based blogger Liz Joy has created a beautiful site focused on home decor, fashion, and motherhood. Liz shares her passions for those things on her site and has partnered with some local businesses to highlight those passions. I love that Liz isn’t afraid to share the good, the bad, and the ugly with her followers since we all know that motherhood isn’t all rainbows and sprinkles. She keeps it real and I’m so glad she’s let us into her world.
Part motherhood tales, part decor, with a good dose of vintage, Lauren shares her love all things farmhouse chic and fashion through her blog. This beautifully styles blog has definitely inspired some of my home decor choices. Another mom who’s not afraid to share it all on, I love getting my daily dose of Lauren through her Snapchat.
This beauty and fashion blog is simply too cute. You’ll love Lauren’s style and sympathize with her mild obsession with Starbucks. And the girl knows how to host a giveaway. It seems like she’s always got something to give away to her readers! Check out her YouTube channel, too.
Lynzy and Co is a beautiful, farmhouse-chic “guide to modern motherhood.” Lynzy Coughlin, mom of 2 living on the CT Shoreline, has created a beautiful space to share DIYs, interiors, beauty tips, and tales from her journey as a mom.
Blogger Charnaie shares reviews of children’s books along with her adventures traveling with her children.
Delicious recipes, great style, and some hilarious Instagram pics – you can’t go wrong here. Try the recipe for the Cinnamon Sugar Banana Bread – trust me.
Food, fashion, and everything in between, The Boop is a great read with just the right amount of sass.
Mollie, one of the beauties behind Style Spies, is currently a local stylist doing closet consultations, personal shopping, personal styling, and fashion inspiration boards to name a few! A former buyer for Shopbop.com, Mollie and her business partner, Erin, help keep us up on all things fashion. Mollie is that friend who you’ll be dying to borrow clothes from. Her closet is breathtaking – trust me, I’ve seen it!
Another great lifestyle blog, Jen Daddario recently turned me on to my latest obsession — Essie Gel Couture nail polish! Jen also shares her thoughts on fashion and decor, as well as her love of all things New England.
A great lifestyle blog featuring fashion, food, and fabulous interiors!
This site has a great list of resources for moms living all across CT.
This well-established site doesn’t disappoint when it comes to finding activities for you and your kiddos to do.
Another great resource for finding activities and thing to do!
