Holiday Decor: How to Turn Your House into a Winter Wonderland without Breaking the Bank

0

Thanksgiving may not be over, but that doesn’t stop me from planning this year’s Holiday Décor. Since having kids, my holiday spirit has been ratcheted up to a new level! Each year, I scour Instagram for inspiration on how to makeover our space. I’ll spend the weekend after Thanksgiving transforming our home into a winter wonderland. If you share my Christmas joy, you’ll want to be ready to go with all your decorations!

Flocked Goodness

My favorite new trend in holiday décor is flocked everything! If you’re pining for one of the gorgeous King of Christmas trees seen all over Instagram, but can’t stomach the price tag, look into the trees at Walmart or Home Depot! I bought this beautiful tree from Home Depot last year and can’t wait to enjoy it again this season!

A Farmhouse Holiday

The Hearth & Hand section of any Target is my happy place. I like to decorate my house for the holidays as if Joanna Gaines herself were coming over for Christmas dinner! The wreath on my front door is Hand & Hearth as well as the garland we use over our kitchen window.

Get the Kids in on the Fun!

My kids love decorating for the holidays and even have their own faux tree in the playroom! Each year we buy them one ornament to add to their collection. I also sprinkle fun kid friendly decorations around the house such as these cute birds from Target.
