This past Sunday was our Spooktacular Halloween costume party and it was so much fun! Everyone was there….zoo keepers, astronauts, firemen, chickens, bumble bees, fairies and more! Both kids and adults had fantastic costumes and came ready to party! The children had a blast dancing along with our hosts from Double Up Dance Studio located in the Sports Plex in Fairfield. They did the limbo, played freeze dance and even learned a few moves from the classic Halloween song Thriller! Our sponsor, Whimsy Party, created the most amazing Halloween decor and set the mood with an amazing tablescape (including fancy candelabras!), party favors, and a fun craft – the kids were able to decorate aluminum moons with everything from tissue paper, sequins, glitter…you name it! Whimsy Party also provided a spooky sensory table and fun photo backdrop to capture all the amazing costumes.
As always, moms and dads had a blast mingling with both new and old friends while attempting to chase after their little ones. AND of course this family play date ended with the most delicious cupcakes, biscotti, and apple cider donuts provided by Sweet Sadie Cakes. (I’m still dreaming of those cupcakes!)
