A Constant State of Chaos

0

I’ve succumbed to the fact that my life is a constant state of chaos.

My house.

It’s a fixer-upper built in 1940 for a family who fostered many children. We think every room was once used as a bedroom, even our dining room. Doors and mismatched frames are everywhere.

My closet.

At least once a week, I find myself, mid-day, questioning my outfit choices.

My car.

I recently “cleaned” it out at the closest $1 vacuum car wash and found every type of ball you could imagine, and my car isn’t that big. I’m a special ed teacher with hand me down toys for clients in my car, twin humans, and two rescue dogs (and the husband).

Everything.

My husband and I are two working parents trying to survive and maintain our well being while not drowning in life’s chaos. Recently we celebrated Hanukkah, Christmas, and three birthdays all before the end of the year. Yup, birthday chaos all on ONE DAY. We’ve done it every year for six years. That’s right. Every year. NO matter what the chaos, I seriously wouldn’t change it for the world.

It’s our chaos. If we were truly drowning amongst our chaos, we would know who to call to help throw us a lifesaver. Thank you, friends and family, for accepting us as we are in our constant state of chaos.

We wouldn’t change a thing. It’s ours. All ours.

How do you manage your constant state of chaos?
