Fall Television We Can’t Get Enough Of

0

Nothing is better for the end of the summer blues than the return of some of our favorite television programs. Whether you still are a cable gal or rock the Roku (that would be me), Fall television has something for everyone. Here are some of Fairfield County Moms Blog’s favorite shows for each day of the week. So grab a blanket and curl up with the remote!

Sunday: Madame Secretary (CBS – 10 p.m.)

Recommended by FCMB contributor, Aarika, Madame Secretary is described as a political drama at its best. Season 4 premieres in early October.

Monday: The Good Doctor (ABC – 10 p.m.)

The Good Doctor seems to be this season’s hottest new show to watch starring the talented actor Freddie Highmore. He’s been getting rave reviews. FCMB contributor Nikki gave this pilot two thumbs up.

Tuesday: This Is Us (NBC – 9 p.m.)

Hands down the favorite pick for our contributors. Get the box of tissues out, Tuesdays are for crying.

Wednesday: Modern Family (ABC – 9 p.m.)

The antics of everyone’s favorite T.V. family never get old. Now in season 9, Modern Family offers a nice comic relief for the mid-week slump. ABC is the place to be as these other family comedies are also worth watching: Speechless (8:30 p.m.) and American Housewife (9:30 p.m.)

Thursday: Grey’s Anatomy (ABC – 8 p.m.)

Hard to believe that Grey’s first season premiered well before my children were even born, yet this medical drama currently in season 14 is still a favorite among us mamas. Other recommendations for Thursday include: The Good Place (NBC – 8:30 p.m.) my personal favorite!, Will & Grace (NBC – 9 p.m.) and How to Get Away with Murder (ABC- 10 p.m.)

Friday: My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (CW – 8 p.m.)

If you are missing the days of Glee when the characters break out in spontaneous song, this is the show for you. Although Season 3 will premiere in mid-October on the CW, Roku streamers will have to wait for the 3rd season to stream in February on Netflix.

Saturdays are for streaming.

Check out Aarika’s previous posts about what’s hot on Netflix or check out these binge-worthy series: The Bold Type, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, Atypical, and Fuller House. Saturdays are also the perfect night to have a family television night with the kiddos. Food Network and HGTV are family friendly channels we all enjoy watching together. These family shows are also great: How It’s Made (Discovery Channel), American Ninja Warrior (NBC), and Just Add Magic (Amazon Prime original series).

Hope you enjoy our FCMB’s contributor’s top picks for fall television. What are you watching?
