Hello I’m Megan, the newest member of the Fairfield County Moms Blog team, and I’m very excited to join the team.
Growing up all I ever wanted was to be a mom! I desperately wanted a girl, and when our oldest daughter, Ava, was born all my dreams came true. However, becoming a mother was a huge adjustment. I learned pretty fast that life wasn’t about me anymore. No more perfect hair, weekly mani/pedis, or peaceful trips to the mall for the latest trends. When I think back to my college days I wonder, how did I take so long to get ready for a night out?
I’m married to my college sweetheart, who is also my best friend. Before kids I worked in the fashion industry, where I made many great friends. Luckily I still keep in contact with them. Now I’m a stay at home mom of three: two girls, Ava, age 7 and Gianna, age 5, and a son Nico, age 1. Our family is complete now since his arrival; no more kids! Life is all about family to me, and I love spending time with them.
Even though I never work out, except for my weekly tennis clinic on Tuesday night, I live in my yoga pants. My hair is always in a ponytail, unless I’m going out. Bonus: one of the best gifts my oldest gave me was learning how to apply my make up at red lights.
Chaos is the norm in our house. It takes teamwork between my husband and I to keep our daily routine with the kids running smoothly. I try to be as organized as possible, especially with our kids’ activity schedules and school work. Every night, when my head hits the pillow, I pass out cold. Having kids is so much work, and it’s definitely hard to enjoy it at times. But it’s all so worth it in the end. I would do anything to make them happy.
