Made Up Mamas: FCMB Contributor Night Out With Mary Kay

Before last Tuesday night if you asked me if I had any Mary Kay products in my repertoire, I would have told you no. I confess to previously knowing very little about the brand and had naively assumed it was for an older generation. Well, Tuesday night’s FCMB Contributor night out with Mary Kay Senior Sales Director Sara Pennella opened my eyes to what the brand really represents and it’s not just about make up and skincare. It’s about empowering women, and that’s something I can always get behind.

Sara was a ball of energy from the moment we walked in the door. In her introduction, she shared how she is not only passionate about helping women look and feel their best, but she is all about enriching women’s lives through the power of successful small business ownershipMary Kay provides an opportunity for hardworking women to become independent business owners and take control of their finances and growth potential. The numbers alone are impressive: Mary Kay has been in existence for over 50 years, currently has 3.5 million Independent Beauty Consultants, and sells more than 200 products in 35 countries. 

We’re moms, we’re busy, and we can be a tough crowd to please. But Sara knows how to throw a party. Wine. Snacks. Beauty Treatments. Laughs. Girl time. What more could you ask for on a Tuesday night? We started off with hand and lip treatments and throughout the rest of the night got to try some of Mary Kay’s best selling products.
