What I’d Really Like for Mother’s Day

0

Mothers-Day-FCMBOf course, I have to start by saying that I already have my best gifts…two healthy and adorable daughters, and the opportunity to stay home with them everyday. We’ll most likely spend Mother’s Day all together at the park and/or Tod’s Point, and that will make me perfectly happy. I don’t really need anything this Mother’s Day, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few things I’d really like.

A Full Night’s Sleep
It’s been awhile, and I’m so tired! I’m dreaming of sleeping through the night, waking up when I’m ready, and definitely not before the sun rises. Alison always gives great advice, but what can I say, my girls love seeing me at least once or twice a night between 12am and 6am.

Coffee in Bed
My 3 year old painted a mug for me, and every so often she spots it and says (word-for-word…) “I have an idea! Let’s bring daddy coffee in the mug I made you!” The joke’s on him, because the mug is so small, but I’d still really appreciate the gesture.

A Mommy Makeover
I’m still trying to figure out how to dress stylishly, comfortably, and conveniently, for my day-to-day activities, which usually include a lot of playing, baby-wearing, and two messy faces with four dirty hands! On any given day, you can find me in a basic tee and my favorite jeans, but I could use some new things and a little help. So tell me… What do you like to wear when you’re with your kids? And, where do you like to shop?

Family Photos and a Photo Book Fairy
My “baby” is now 9 months old, and we still don’t have a family photo of all four of us! I’m actually already planning an upcoming, much-needed photo session, and I can’t wait!! As for a fairy, I’m not sure where to find one, but I’d also settle for enough time and energy to sort through the past 3+ years of photos, and finally design a photo book.

Lastly, to end the day: One Dinner that Everyone Eats… Together
Our last remaining “We all love it!” dinner, with a recipe big enough to have leftovers, finally made it to my daughter’s “but, I don’t like it!” list. Lately, we often eat four different dinners, at varying times, which is never what I imagined for my family. But, much like the sleepless nights, I know it’s just a phase, and thanks to FCMB, I know I’m not alone.

What’s on your wishlist this Mother’s Day?
