In my house, we prefer to celebrate holidays simply. This year, our Easter Bunny was given a total budget of $20-25 and tasked with only bringing “gifts” that my two children are sure to use. Did I mention no candy? Of course, my 4 year old would love a million M&Ms, and my 1 ½ year old has her eye on a little baby chick wind-up toy, but neither of those items fit the guidelines.
Luckily, my daughters are at an age where they think the Easter Bunny is magical enough and any gifts he/she brings them are a bonus!
Here’s what my daughters will find in their baskets on Easter morning:
Bubbles
Play-doh
Sticker books
“Bunny ears” headbands
“Hop To It!” Cat & Jack t-shirts
Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies (in a “Carrot” bag)
Annie’s Honey Graham Bunnies (in a “Carrot” bag)
And, here are some more ideas to include in your baskets:
Books
Sticker activity books
Coloring books ($1 at Michael’s!)
Coloring and/or Craft supplies
Games (We love Spot It!)
Egg shakers
Sidewalk chalk
Jump rope
Beach toys
Sun hats and Sunglasses
Bows, Headbands, Hair accessories
Dress-up jewelry
Temporary tattoos
Disney Figure Sets
Lego Classic Creativity Box
