Where to Find Better Clothes for Boys

boy clothesI don’t know about other moms-of-boys, but I’m pretty jealous of my mom friends who get to head to the girl’s sections of clothing stores because I find that boy’s stuff isn’t nearly as cute or well-rounded! Clothes for boys seem to be riddled with over-done, cliché themes (think: firetrucks, airplanes, dinosaurs, robots, etc.). I got really tired of seeing the same prints over and over again when shopping for my first son. I had to do a little (a lot) of digging to find cute clothes for boys that I didn’t roll my eyes at.

I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite places (for all price points) to find boy’s clothing that thankfully tends to veer away from the tired stereotypes we see so often on the boy’s clothing racks.

ZARA baby boy and ZARA boy are high on my list for affordable, hip, whimsical clothes for boys. They have great graphic tees that you won’t see on all the other boys at the playground. I also love their comfy pants and sweatshirts. They also have stylish shoes for the coolest of little boys.

H&M is another affordable spot that carries great basics, fun t-shirts, knits, and accessories for baby boys and up

Hanna Andersson is now known for their famous pajamas, but also sells all of the quality clothing you’d need, with an amazing guarantee. As an added bonus, they are almost always running a sale or promotion.

Some of the best-dressed boys I know wear Mini Boden. At first glance, they do sell plenty of “boy”-themed tees, but they also offer plenty of basics and classic looks. These clothes are made to last through multiple children, or else the brand re-sells well.

Polarn O. Pyret is a Swedish company that makes high-quality clothes that can be handed down, time and time again. They offer fun, bright colors, simple prints, and classic stripes. They also make some of the best quality children’s outerwear (those Swedes know a thing or two about inclement weather!). Most of their stuff is unisex, which makes it even more hand-me-down friendly.

Mabo Kids has a higher price point, but their stuff is organic, and their cotton drawstring leggings come in interesting colors and are superb quality. We have a pair that have lasted for nearly two years still fit my son, and will be a great hand-me-down for boy #2.

If you’re looking for something fun, colorful, and original, Bobo Choses is worth a look. They believe their children’s clothing truly captures the essence of youth. I say their stuff is super cool, but you might want to check back for sales from time to time!

Giggle has TONS of great baby stuff, and their line of newborn essentials is pretty perfect. No cheesy prints! Just quality, classic, soft baby clothes in basic colors.

Etsy! Yep! You can find some super cute, affordable, graphic tees on Etsy that you won’t find anywhere else.

I hope I’ve helped you find some cute things for your little misters!
